Kristen Beckman

Kristen has worked in the Cosmetic and Fragrance industry for more than twenty-five years. Starting as a sales account executive at Parfums Christian Dior, she successfully handled retailers from Georgia to Baltimore. With a Masters’ in International Business from George Washington University in Washington D.C. and practical experience working in-store with buyers, customers, and sales associates, she was promoted to the New York Office as the U.S. fragrance marketing manager.
As marketing manager Kristen launched Dune in the U.S., managed promotions and advertising for Dior’s men’s and women’s fragrances. Afterwards, she became the marketing director for Revlon Mass fragrances. At Revlon Inc. Kristen developed, relaunched and marketed a number of Mass distributed fragrance brands. Revlon proved to be an essential experience.
Kristen’s next position was at Estēe Lauder where she was the marketing director for the newly acquired Tommy Hilfiger licenses. Kristen directed, developed, launched and marketed both Tommy men’s fragrance and the Tommy girl fragrance. She also oversaw all promotional support and new item launches for Aramis and the division’s other men’s brands.
Marketing is sales and sales is marketing.
With a desire to work in global business, Kristen accepted the position of executive director responsible for all U.S. marketing of Parfums Boucheron, Beauté Prestige International and Sonia Rykiel fragrances. As the Executive Director of Marketing Kristen handled the three French offices and was part of the management team running all aspects of the U.S. businesses. The position required diplomacy and the ability to interpret and communicate French marketing direction to U.S. department stores as well as the U.S. sales force. During Kristen’s time at Boucheron she also worked on other distribution agreements and the introduction of the Boucheron watches to the U.S. market.
Working in marketing at the companies mentioned above has given Kristen experience in all areas of product development, promotional planning, public relations, advertising, sales, inventory and manufacturing management. During the fall of 1999 Kristen started to work as a marketing consultant.
